Busy, Busy, Busy! That is what we are around here!
We have finally found a house to buy! After backing out of one contract, we found an even better option. The schools, location and house are all great! We will be moving again in July! This means boxing up everything again and the kids are loving it....unfortunately. Grant wants to draw on every box and they both want to climb in all of them too, ugh! It is going to be a slower process this time so we are starting earlier, lol.
Grant's chin is healing nicely. He may end up with a scar but we are trying to keep sunscreen on it to make it better. The picture below is before we got the stitches out.
Grant went for his 5 year check up and he is 43 3/4 inches tall (75%) and weighs 40lbs (40%). His vision and hearing were perfect too. We are all set for Kindergarten now!
Grant got a Veggie Garden for his birthday (Thanks Keri and Ross) and he loves it! I honestly didn't think it would grow that well but it is doing so great. We had to replant them in bigger pots. He has watermelon, cucumbers, green beans, squash and radishes. I think we may need even bigger pots soon. He goes out every morning and waters them and sees how much they have grown. The squash have blooms now so he is really hoping to get a vegetable soon.
I rescued another turtle on the side of the road and brought it home for the kids. They both loved it as expected. They both wanted to keep it but we made them release it after a few hours. It was a very lively turtle....not scared of anything and hardly ever when in its shell....unless they picked it up.
Grant continues to do great in swim lessons and Sloan loves to watch him. I will be starting some group lessons with her in the next month or so. We have her blowing bubbles in the bathtub water now so that is a start. She is a little more testy than Grant at most things so it should be interesting.
Sloan loves to do hair now. She will do her Barbie head's hair or tell me to sit down so she can brush mine. She is not super gentle though, lol. She also likes to put on her heels and walk around. I never thought I would produce such a girly girl.
We are headed to the beach soon for family vacation! Grant is counting down the days until we leave and they are both talking about finding shells and playing in the sand.
