During my awake time, I enjoy just gazing around and checking things out. I am sleeping between 2-3 hours at night and trying to get a routine for the daytime but still working on it.

He has arrived finally! Enjoy the pictures

I went into labor this morning around 9am. We got to the hospital around 11am and received my epidural and was on my way...he arrived at 7:05pm, weighing in at 7lbs 10oz and 20 inches long.

Warning!! We have a code: B.A.B.Y.

Well, one hour after this mornings post, things picked up. We checked into the hospital around 11am. The epidural is in and it works GREAT!! We are just waiting for Grant to make his grand entrance. Stay tuned for pictures.......

6 Days Late....

It is looking like we are headed for an induction at this point. He is just not wanting to get here on his own. He has a little more time to decide but we are headed to the hospital in the morning either way. So.....he will be joining us soon regardless. We will post pictures as soon as possible!

5 Days Late.....

Okay, so I think he is very happy in there obviously! I am having contractions every few minutes but they are not strong enough to dilate my cervix further. I am still 90% effaced and 1cm dilated. So, unless I go into labor in the next couple of days......I will be induced on Friday morning! We will have a baby by the end of the weekend for sure!

3 Days Late Already...

Okay....this little guy is obviously stubborn beyond belief! I am 3 days late now and still no Grant! Went to the doctor this morning and I am 90% effaced and a little over 1cm dilated and his head has moved further down. Progress but no contractions yet to put me into full out labor. I will be induced on Friday at 9am if he doesn't come on his own. We will see.......

Still Waiting....

Well, the due date has come and gone and still no Grant. Luke and I went and ate at a restaurant Scalini's last night that swears that their eggplant Parmesan induces labor.....so I ate it and nothing yet. There were 13 other couples there that were pregnant though, ha ha. Some were 2 weeks from their delivery dates but they wanted their babies before Mother's Day, crazy.
Hopefully by the end of the weekend......

Due Date is Here.....Grant is NOT!

Well, the due date has arrived and Grant has not! I went to the doctor this morning and I am 1cm dilated and 80% effaced....he has moved further down but not enough to get things rolling yet. I go back to the doctor on Monday. Hopefully I will be in labor before then though! We will let everyone know as soon as anything happens.

Due Date on Friday!

Yeh! My due date is less than a week a way.......this Friday! We went to the doctor yesterday and I am 75% effaced...so my cervix is almost all thinned out and I am nearly 1cm dilated.....so we are progressing nicely and hopefully will have a baby by the end of the weekend! No contractions yet though.

38 Weeks

Here is an updated picture of me at 38 weeks and probably the last one I will be taking!

37 Weeks

Went to the doctor today and Grant's heart rate is still in the 120's, which is still normal. My strep B test came back negative so that was good news too.

Our next appointment is this coming Monday and I will get checked for dilation for this first time. I am ready to find out for sure!

36 Weeks

I had the 36 week visit this past Monday and Grant's heart rate is still in the 130 range and normal. I had the Strep B test done "down there" and will find out the results next week. This is a standard test now since it can cause problems for the baby if you have it. And they say about 50% women have it and never know. If it is positive, I will have to have antibiotics while he is born. So many tests for so many things these days.

I will start getting checked for dilation at 38 weeks so we are getting soooo close! It can't come fast enough! I am still having heartburn and definitely have the waddle going on....and no sleep. So I am saying, "Bring on Labor and Delivery"!

Luke and I have put together the pack n play, the strollers and the car seat.....none of which were as easy as you would think! We only have a few more things to pick up and then we are fully prepared....well....as prepared as you can be I guess, ha!

The Nursery

Below is the nursery. We finally finished it. We have been working on putting everything together such as the pack n play. You would think that would be easy but it is way more complicated than it appears. I am not so sure we will be packing it up that often. Less than 5 weeks to go and it can't come soon enough!

34 Weeks!

The final stretch! We had our 34 week doctor's appointment and Grant's heartrate is now 129, still normal. He is now head down and ready to go it seems. He is still kicking a lot I must say and causing me much hated heartburn! I am also getting much bigger as he grows.....you can see from the picture below....

We will begin having weekly appointments after our next appointment.

32 Week Ultrasound!

Here are the Ultrasound pictures at 32 Weeks! This is probably the last ultrasound we will have of him. He is approximately 4.5 lbs and his heartrate was 138...everything is good and normal. It is harder to get clear pictures since he is getting bigger and the space in there is limited. His position is head down already. His head is resting right on my cervix and they said it will most likely stay that way....all good news. He is measuring a week bigger also. Let's hope that head doesn't get too big, ha!

This is a profile shot of him and it looked like he was blowing bubbles, ha. I think he was sleeping too because he wasn't moving at all during the entire thing.

30 Weeks!

The last visit to the doctor showed his heart rate at 140 and very normal. He is definitely growing and kicking very hard these days! Everyone is interested in my belly so I am going to post some pictures that we have taken. Enjoy!

28 Weeks!

Last Friday was my last doctor's appointment. I got my RhoGham shot so we are good to go with that. It was in my hip and stung a bit but not too bad. I am getting used to getting my blood drawn at this point too. His heart rate is now 135 so it has now slowed down a bit and is in the normal range. My belly is now getting more round and he is definitely a kicker!
I will go to the doctor every 2 weeks from here on out! Only 12 weeks to go! Yeh!

The next and final ultrasound will be on March 16th so we are excited to see that one.

We are in the process of getting the nursery ready and I will post pictures when it is completed.
