Daycare Drama at 13 Weeks!

One would think that finding a daycare would be fairly easy......unless you live in Atlanta! The first lesson we learned was all about "The Wait list". Yes, nearly all of these places have wait lists upwards of a year. Little did we know, we should have started this process the day we found out we were expecting. That was just the beginning.....Luke and I have now toured 7 daycares. Two had infant rooms that smelled of dirty diapers so bad, we were ready to leave in minutes. One had an infant room that was 76 degrees and was uncomfortably warm, so that one was out. A couple of them were good day cares but had mixed reviews from people we know. Then, we finally found two that were great. One that is spa-like with excellent teachers and our neighbors go there....extremely clean and our first choice. The second one is very close to the house and has Internet cameras to view your child anytime but is just not quite as nice as the first choice. We are now wait listed at both with hopes of getting into one by September of next year. Oh....and to get on the waitlist of one of them...we had to pay a non-refundable deposit. And our final lesson of the day.....daycare isn't cheap, even the stinky ones, ha! We need to open our own, the owners must be rolling in money!

Other news.....I am still having headaches but they are better. I am still hopeful that they will go away completely in another week or two. I am not going to be one of those people who loves to be pregnant, that's for sure!

Next step....finding a pediatrician. Let's hope that is a little less dramatic!
